Privacy notice

This notice applies only to the current prelaunch website at pandoz.de, including redirects from www.pandoz.de. It is not the privacy policy of the future Pandoz platform, which will receive its own privacy policy before launch.

What this website does not do

This website is a static information page. It has no contact form, no newsletter, no user accounts, no analytics, no marketing or tracking tools and no embedded third-party content. It does not set cookies and does not store anything on your device. Its script runs only the on-page animation and sends no data.

Server log files

When you open this website, the web server automatically records each request in log files:

• your IP address,
• date and time of the request,
• the requested address (including any query string), HTTP method and protocol,
• the HTTP status code and the amount of data transferred,
• the referring page (referrer), if your browser sends it,
• your browser’s user-agent string (browser and operating system).

If a technical error occurs, an error log may also record the IP address, time, the request and the error.

Purpose: technically delivering this website and keeping it secure and stable, including detecting and defending against attacks and analysing errors. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest is the secure and reliable operation of the website.

Automated security protection

Log entries for certain requests (for example, unencrypted HTTP requests and requests to www.pandoz.de) are evaluated automatically by intrusion-prevention software running on the server. IP addresses that show patterns typical of attacks or automated vulnerability scans are temporarily blocked, and the blocked IP address and time are recorded in a security log. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (protection of the server against attacks).

Storage period

The web server’s log files on the active server are rotated daily and deleted after 14 rotations, which usually means after about two weeks. A log file with very few entries is rotated only when it contains new entries and can therefore be kept for longer before it is deleted. Data needed to investigate a specific security incident may be kept until that investigation is finished.

Hosting

This website is hosted on a server of DigitalOcean, LLC (United States) in its Frankfurt, Germany data centre (FRA1). DigitalOcean processes data on our behalf under its Data Processing Agreement (Art. 28 GDPR). DigitalOcean participates in the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework. Where that framework is not available as a transfer mechanism, DigitalOcean’s Data Processing Agreement provides for the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.

Email contact

If you email info@pandoz.de, we process your email address, any other contact details you provide and the content of your message to handle your enquiry. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR where your enquiry concerns pre-contractual measures; otherwise Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, based on our legitimate interest in answering general enquiries. Our email service is provided by IONOS SE under a data processing agreement (Art. 28 GDPR). We keep correspondence only as long as needed to handle your enquiry, subject to applicable statutory retention obligations.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right of access (Art. 15), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18) and data portability (Art. 20). You have the right to object at any time, on grounds relating to your particular situation, to processing based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (Art. 21). To exercise your rights, contact info@pandoz.de.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority (Art. 77 GDPR), in particular in the EU member state of your habitual residence, your place of work or the place of the alleged infringement.
